Hello :) I am Amy Pennell. I am 32, married and have two children, Cody (7) and Gracie Ella (4). They are the reason I decided to go back to college. Right out of high school I went to CCC&TI and graduated with a Paralegal degree, went to work for a Real Estate attorney and eventually ended up at Bank of Granite as a Consumer Lender for the past 9 years. It’s a great place to work but banker’s hours are hard on a family. I wanted to find a career that would give me the more time with my children. I am currently enrolled in the Middle Grades Education cohort through Appalachian State University. It has been really hard being away from my children but I keep telling myself (and them) that having summers off will make it all worth while.
In my spare time I love to crochet/felt handbags, hats and scarves. Also, one of my most favorite things to do is to go to Asheville to listen to live music because you never know what you are going to find. One day, much, much later, my dream is to open a little bookstore & coffee shop where I can sell my handmade goodies

Nice “About”; beware that since the son is older, he may be more dominant in relation to his sister. This is almost the same spread between my two Avery (13) and Heidi (10) and it’s becoming a battle to keep them civil w/ one another. Great blog!
